Our Story

Adventurous beginnings, a shared love of travel, and a connection that has only grown stronger over time.

Fall 2015

First Meeting

They met on the job, with Richard noticing Aubi first and her wanting nothing to do with him. His first request for a date was met with denial. Regardless, a friendship formed over long nights at work, Marvel movies, and undergrad struggles.

Fall 2017

The First Date

Atlanta's Skyview, rock climbing, and late night dinner set the stage for the relationship.

The Proposal

On Aubi's birthday, October 10th, Richard proposed on a balcony in Hawaii overlooking the city.

Montego Bay's Sangster International Airport (MBJ) is Jamaica's main gateway with direct flights from most major US cities. From the airport, it's about a 1.5 hour drive to Hotel Riu Ocho Rios, and another ~37 minutes west along the coast to Borghinvilla. Everything you need to know before the big day.

Yes — all guests traveling from the US will need a valid passport. Make sure yours is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. Jamaica also requires a completed C5 Immigration & Customs Form which can be filled out online before departure at enterjamaica.com. US citizens do not need a visa.

Fly into Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay — Jamaica's main gateway with direct flights from most major US cities. Hotel Riu Ocho Rios is approximately 1.5 hours east along the coast, and Borghinvilla is another ~37 minutes from the hotel. Please RSVP by July 15, 2026. Because this is a destination wedding, we need to confirm final headcounts well in advance. If you miss the deadline, please reach out directly and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

The ceremony begins at 3:00 PM sharp. Please arrive 20–30 minutes early to settle in and take in the stunning cliffside views!

We want everyone to enjoy the meal! Let us know directly and as early as possible about any dietary restrictions and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Great question — Jamaica is a foreign country so your phone may behave differently than at home. Here are a few options:

  • Use your hotel WiFi — the easiest option. iMessage, WhatsApp, and FaceTime all work over WiFi at no extra cost.
  • Check your carrier's international plan — T-Mobile includes international data free (slower speeds). AT&T and Verizon offer day passes (~$10/day) that let you use your normal plan abroad.
  • Buy a local SIM — Digicel and Flow SIM cards are available at the MBJ airport and are affordable for calls and data during your stay.
  • Turn on Airplane Mode — and use WiFi only to avoid surprise roaming charges if you don't have an international plan.
